Introducing v1.0.0, Global Search, and Document Versioning
Today marks a massive milestone for our documentation platform. We are officially releasing v1.0.0!
As our project has grown, so has the need for a more structured, searchable, and reliable knowledge base. This release represents a complete structural overhaul designed to future-proof our docs and dramatically improve how you find information.
Here is a breakdown of what is changing, what is new, and how we are moving forward.
Moving v0.9.0 to "Legacy" Status
To make room for the future, everything built up to this exact point is now classified as v0.9.0 (Legacy).
Our older infrastructure served us incredibly well, but keeping running edits on the same track as breaking product updates was becoming unsustainable. Moving v0.9.0 to a frozen state ensures that users on older setups still have a precise reference point that will never unexpectedly change.
Key Feature: Native Document Versioning
With the launch of v1.0.0, we have implemented a full document versioning ecosystem. You will notice a new dropdown option right in the top navigation menu.
This allows you to seamlessly toggle your viewpoint depending on which version of our platform you are using:
- Latest / Current: Houses all active, cutting-edge documentation matching v1.0.0.
- v0.9.0 (Legacy): A fully frozen snapshot of our documentation prior to today's update.
Going forward, whenever we roll out major platform updates, we will freeze a snapshot of the current state so you never lose track of historical context.
Key Feature: Instant Local Search
No more manual scrolling or digging through sidebars. We have integrated a lightning-fast local search engine right into the navbar header.
Simply press Ctrl + K (or Cmd + K on macOS) or click the search input field at the top right to instantly query terms across all documentation pages, guides, and blog posts. The search runs completely client-side, meaning it indexed instantly and respects our internal visibility profiles.
Future Updates: The New Engineering Blog
You are reading our very first entry! Moving forward, all new changes, patch logs, feature announcements, and engineering updates will be published right here on this blog.
Instead of cluttering the primary documentation sidebar with historical changelogs or temporary design updates, the documentation tree will remain strictly dedicated to accurate implementation guides.
Thank you to everyone who contributed feedback during the v0.9.0 era. Welcome to v1.0.0! Explore the new search bar, look through the versioning dropdown, and let us know what you think.
